LTA Delayed Orchard ERP Timing & Rates For Our Wedding

LTA will likely revert back to the old timing and rate after our wedding. I guess most of our wedding guests will come after 12 30pm.

Since we have passed our wedding invitation cards to almost all of our guests, we can now post it online. I have blurred the details. We have a air ticket wedding card.

Counting down to 33 days to our wedding, dear and I met up with Vanessa Orchard Hotel to discuss and finalised most of the wedding details. I think we have settled most of the details, leaving some points for our further consideration.

These are the wedding favours available for selection. We have selected 2 favours. 1 of the favours is not captured in the photo. 

Fernvale Palms Progress (26 May 2012)

I ran from home to Palms again yesterday, though I took a shortcut this time. I took some photos using my Nokia phone yesterday but somehow the microsd card got corrupted.

The developer has began hoarding up the commercial development beside the Fernvale LRT. Thus, there is no direct path from Fernvale Point through the big field anymore. It is a good sign that the construction should be starting soon. However, there is no date when the development will be opened.

The progress of Palms is good. The construction of level 26 is almost completed. So, i guess the block will hit the top 27 level by mid June, faster than what I predicted. Should the rumor that the main contractor will try to hand the keys to the owners of 433B flats by end this year is true, this leaves the E&M (dry riser, lifts, sanitary water, portable water, electricity) contractors about 6 months to install and commission their systems. The main contractor will need to finsih the flooring (for owners who have bought the floorings), doors and paint the buildings.

Hopeful: Get the keys before we go for honeymoon in Dec. Pass the keys to interior designer to renovate our home. Pay for the renovation, get the keys and shift in end January. Spend our CNY in our new home.

Finalised Montage

Counting down to 37 days to wedding, I went down to Captured Moments to collect the finalised montage. Dear also drafted the reminder e mail/sms to remind our guests 1 week before the banquet.

Our Wedding With Euro 2012

9 June is our 过大礼 and also the start of Euro 2012 (Poland vs Greece). 30 June is our wedding banquet and the night will be the Final of Euro 2012.

Fernvale Palms Progress (20 May 2012)

Fernvale Palms block 433B is constructing the 26th level, so 2 more levels to the summit level. Probably, the civil construction of the block will be completed in June. Dear and I planned to visit it after our wedding to witness the completion. Someone commented that the main contractor is aiming to pass the keys to the owners of 433B by end of this year. I was told by Otis that they need only about 45 days to install a 20+ storey lift. If everything runs smoothly, there is a good chance that the flat may be ready for BCA TOP inspection.

This is the first time we realised that we can see our flat from the bus stop opposite and also the first time we went up Fernvale Residences to take a look at the progress.

Captured Moments Montage 2nd Draft

Counting down 54 days to our wedding, we met up with Caryn to finalise the montage. She said it will be ready by the end of the week. Hopefully she delivers what she promised. Asked Alex about the AD details too. We are running short of envelopes. Need to get more. We shifted a bit of things in gong's room too. Pasted sticker on the red tray. So cute! Guess what's the box for? Hee.

Mailing Out Invitation Cards

Counting down 55 days to our wedding, we mailed out the invitation together. Although we still haven't really asked all the people, so happy! Hope our guests like our card. :)

Maybe Baby Couple Date 2

We had our Maybe Baby couple date 2 at Cineleisure catching Marvel's The Avengers movie and basic financial planning talk. This is probably the 3rd family financial talk we have attended.

I have finished writing the addresses and pasting the stamps on the envelopes. The cards are ready to be mailed out tomorrow. Is gong ready? :)

Fernvale Palms Progress 1 May 2012

Counting down to 60 days, gong and I walked to Fernvale Palms from my hse via the Buangkok Park Connector today. The progress of the project seemed to have expedited after the construction for Fernvale Crest has completed. 433B has completed the construction of the 24th level, starting on the 25th. So, 3 more levels to go. The best news is that HDB has updated the website indicating that the flat will probably be completed in Q2 2013 instead of Q3 2013. I guess we can get the keys earliest in March next year. Yeah!

Family Get Together Dinner @ Orchard Hotel Neroli Room (30 April 2012)

Counting down to 61 days to our wedding, we had our family get together dinner at Orchard Hotel Neroli room at 7 30pm. I guessed both dear and I were very nervous about it. This is the first time our parents meet up. The dishes are:

1) Five happiness combination. We have changed the braised duck to roasted cripsy duck. Cousin commented that the beancurd is nice. The chief gave lots of prawns.

2) Braised shark fins with conpoy and bamboo piths. I think this is the worst dish for the day. So, we decided to change to braised shark fins with crabmeat.

3) Sauteed prawns with cashew nut and and celery. We changed the original dish of honey pea to celery. Parents felt that the prawn was salty but I felt it was ok. But, we did commented to the chef at the end of dinner to make it less salty. Prawn was very fresh. We also moved this dish to the 5th dish for our banquet as the 1st dish have prawns already.

4) Steamed garoupa in Hong Kong style. I think this is the best dish. Fish looked small but quite meaty. Fish is very fresh. Since we shifted the prawns to the 5th dish, this fish became the 3th dish for our banquet.

5) Crispy roasted chicken. The chicken is served rather hot and very crispy, so taste rather good. Dear said that the crackers taste nice though I feel okay only. Since we shifted the prawns to the 5th dish, this chicken became the 4th dish for our banquet.

6) Braised whole conpoy with sliced top shell and spinach in oyster sauce. This is the only vegetable dish of the banquet. It was served with hot steam. I think the dish will taste good to the older folks after eating 5 dishes of meat.

7) Stewed double happiness E-fu noodles. Dear commented that they served with lots of ingredients (carrots and mushrooms) for our food tasting. I felt this dish taste good too. For the super big eater who still feel hungry after 6 dishes, this 7th dish would hopefully give you the full feeling.

8) Sweetened red bean paste with lotus seeds and dried lily buds. Our initial plan was to try this red bean paste for our food tasting and select mango pudding for our banquet. I was expecting a very thick red bean paste but it turned out to be rather watery. The taste is nice and special. Probably due to the lily buds, it gave it a unique taste. It seemed like bubu mum like this dish also. Since this dish has a very good blessing chinese name (百年好合红豆沙) as compared the other 2 desert choices, we eventually decided to keep to this dish. I was thinking most people will want to have something sweet after 7 dishes of meat, seafood and vegetables. So, this dish is also more suitable than the mango pudding which may taste slightly more sour.

The family get together dinner food tasting ended at around 9 20pm. It did not turn out as bad as I thought it might be. I am so glad, so much relieve now.

To end the day, dear managed to purchase a puma sports shoes within 15 minutes in Isetan just before it closed for operation.
