This Is It (29 June 2012)

It's Friday and 1 more day to our wedding. We are at the last phase of preparation. I will be heading to YC for bridal car decoration and dear will be going to do menicure.

Hope everything turns out fine tomorrow.

ROM (26 June 2012)

4 days to our wedding, dear and I reached ROM early, before 8 30am, that ROM was not even opened. We got queue number 2.

We were the first to leave ROM, not quite sure why the first couple with queue number 1 took a longer time. We took quite some time to recite the statutory declaration too. We headed for Toast Box at Raffles City for breakfast after leaving ROM.



The certificate we collected from ROM, to be used on Saturday solemnization.

The wedding lamps which signify dear giving birth to a son to my family is still shining brightly.

安床 (25 June 2012)

5 more days to our wedding. We 安床 early morning today.

Mattress & Bed Delivery (23 June 2012)

I woke up early in the Saturday morning, went for a run and came back home to dismantle the bed. I was disposing off the bed when dear arrived. Dear bought me a foldable mattress to sleep on for the week as I was not supposed to sleep on our new Queen size bed before our wedding on 30 June.

It was a smoother process than what we experienced when we painted the room last year. Within 20 minutes, we disposed the single bed and mattress which I had been sleeping for close to 15 years.

Both our Queen size bed and mattress were delivered much earlier than the agreed timing. The bed delivery guys took less than 5 minutes to assemble the bed and the mattress guys took less than 2 minutes to remove the plastic cover.

So, all are ready, waiting for 安床 tomorrow.

Wedding Reminder

Counting down to 15 days to our wedding, we started sending our "flight reminder" to all our valued guests.

过大礼

Counting down to 21 days to our wedding, we had our 过大礼 early in the morning. Today is an auspicious date for wedding and betrothal.

Our helpful mumu dad drove us around Singapore to deliver the wedding cakes to some of the relatives.

Yesterday was the last day to e-file for marriage on 30 June. 158 couples will be solemnizing their wedding with us on 30 June this year. : )

Sengkang LRT East & West Loop

I had a meeting this morning at Sengkang. Since I was early, I decided to take a big loop and take a look at Fernvale Palms progress while travelling in the LRT. I also finally understand how the Sengkang LRT east and west loop operates.

Orchard Hotel Open House Vs Our Selection

The wedding favours that were available more than a year ago and the current favours that are available for selection now.

The wedding invitation cards provided by the hotel and our invitation card. I guess ours is much more creative!

The wedding theme has also changed. Orchard Hotel currently have 4 themes - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. We will not posting the photos of our selected theme (Spring), leaving the surprise on the actual day.

What To Expect When You Are Expecting

The review of the movie was not very fantastic. However, I felt that that the movie depicted some real situations that we might face in parenthood. : ) Dear and I found a good place for nice and cheap breakfast, will likely visit it again in the future.

June

It is finally the month of June and 29 days to our wedding. I went to POSB bank to withdraw the big notes for the betrothal gift. It was my first time holding on to $1000 note. I wonder what will be the reaction of a cashier receiving a $1000 note. 

However, the bank gave me rather old notes. So, I got to replace as many new notes as possible within the coming week.
