Fernvale Palms Sales Of Balance Flats

HDB released more than 8000 flats these month which included the sales of balance flat for Fernvale Palms. There are three 5 rooms flats (5th floor, 18th floor and 22th floor) which are still unbooked. I guess these 3 flats are given up after selection. Based on the indicated price, I did a interpolation to estimate the price of the flat we bought. The estimated increase in price is more than $50K. : )

aLife extended their invitation to us to attend the seminar - Make Love Happen - The Joy of Motherhood on 14 April 2012. Dear will be having spelling B on that day too. Hope we can make it on that day. : )

Team Invitation To Our Wedding

Counting down to 96 days to our wedding, I sent out e mail invitation to my team, welfare & dinner committee team members to our wedding early morning.

I have also planted the DIY plant we got from the Maybe Baby Couple date. Hopefully, the grass will start to grow in a week as indicated on the box. The plant holder is the shape of a crawling baby.

Maybe Baby Couple Date (Mar 2012)

We bought a Big Deal coupon - Maybe Baby Couple Date. It consisted of a talk, a goodies bag, popcorn with drinks and movie tickets for 2. The best is it only cost $12. That is also the reason why I forced myself up last night to purchase the next couple date in May.

We reached Cineleisure early and sat down at Artease for bubble tea. Although, we reached the registration point early, people are queuing at the booth already. The registration was rather smooth and we received our goodies bag. : )

The movie date started with the marriage and getting a baby early talk. The talk was rather boring though. However, I do agree the point of having at least a baby or better two before 30 (for ladies). The screened movie was The Hunger Game. It was much more interesting and exciting than what I thought, worth catching it.

I guess we will purchase all future Maybe Baby Couple date deals. :) Looking forward for the next movie date.

99 days to our wedding, dear and I attended cousin wedding at Liang Court. We reached there at about 7 20pm. It was a simple and nice wedding.

Wedding Invitation Cards Collection

Dear and I woke up early this morning to travel to JB to collect our wedding cards. We had breakfast at Old Town again and dear anxiously wanted to collect the wedding cards after the breakfast. The wedding cards are nice. We also purchased the envelopes at Popular City Square.

After doing some shopping there, where I bought a pair of shoes and dear bought 2 pairs, we headed back to Singapore.

After much consideration, we finally purchase the 喜 puncher from Kovan Popular. We saw that stamp few months back.

Fernvale Palms Progress - 17 March 2012

I ran from home to Fernvale Palms today. I guessed the weather was too hot and I did not complete my run, stopped at 3/4 of the run and walked my way there.

Upon reaching, I saw a family trying to start up the bbq pit near to our house. But, it was a bad day to bbq as it started raining soon after I reached Fernvale.

The construction is still in good progress. Our blk is currently finishing up the 21th level, starting on the 22th level. This means that we are 6 level away from completing the civil construction, probably in June this year. Hopefully, the E&M works can completed and the flat can TOP in 9 months time for us to collect keys in March 2013. : )

There is still no progress for the commercial development beside Fernvale LRT. It is still an open area with no hoarding.

March: Wedding Preparation Month

This is the month which we have spent every weekend preparing for our wedding. From attending wedding preparation course, to view photoshoot layout, to print and collect wedding cards, to attend Maybe baby couple date and finally to place order for our wedding cakes for 过大礼.

8th Year Anniversary & Appointment With Captured Moments

108 days countdown to our wedding, dear and I celebrated our 8 years anniversary. We got together on 14 Mar 2004. We been through the last phase of my poly days, army, university and stepping into workforce together. I am glad that we are still so loving after 8 years. : ) We started the day having breakfast at home. Dear had bought 2 small cakes to celebrate the anniversary.



She also passed me my presents. I have got a bag, a file and a card for present. I planned to give dear her present during dinner. But, she looked rather disappointed that there was no present. To ease her disappointment, I gave her the present while still at home. This is the remains after she opened her present.




We left home to have lunch at Lavandar Food Square before meeting up with Captured Moments. They have shifted their office a few shops away. Dear thought that they have closed down initially. The video editor did not ask much information from us as we passed the photos to her. I guessed we may need a lot of edit after the first draft.

We left Captured Moments in about 30 mins time for movie Lorex at Cineleisure. Dear felt that it was an average movie while I thought that it was a very educational movie especially for the kids to save the earth.

After the movie, we walked around Orchard and bypass the Singtel shop at Wisma. Since there was not much customers there, we decided to try our luck to ask for early 21 months upgrade. My 21 months upgrade was supposed to be on Saturday.

We headed for Angus House to have dinner after purchasing the phone. We were so full after finishing the meal. The set meal is so worth it!

This is the last anniversary we celebrate together as boyfriend and girlfriend. Next year, we will celebrate together our 9th anniversary and 1st anniversary as married couple.

Bought 龙凤镯

Counting down to 109 days to our wedding, I went to AMK Heng Heng Gold & Diamond Jewellery to purchase the 龙凤镯 which is part of the 过大礼 stuffs. Dear and I have chosen a modern and simple design.

Printing Our Wedding Invitation Cards

Counting down 111 days (11 March 2012) to our wedding, dear and I travelled to JB to print our wedding invitation cards. We woke up early at 7 30 am and left house at about 8 15am.

It was a very smooth journey this time to JB with no traffic jam and we cleared the immigration customs with very short queue.

As usual, we had our breakfast at Old Town as it is near to City Square Entrance.

After the breakfast, we hastily search for the card printing shop as we knew that it will take them sometime to prepare the template for us to take a look. To our surprise and horror, we realised that Cty Square is undergoing renovation. I was preparing for the worst scenerio that today will be a wasted trip.

We searched through City Square and were glad that only a portion of it is renovating. We managed to find the City Square wedding shops and purchase more 喜 stickers and our wedding lamps there. We even apply for their membership. The wedding lamps we purchased are exactly the same as those we saw at AMK Jubilee which the shop owner claimed that they designed it themselves. Our wedding lamps are battery operated. : )

We took the opportunity to ask the wedding shop owner if the printing shop T&T is still operating in City Square. Much to our relieve, the owner directed us to the new location. We were so anxious as we travelled down the escalators to B1 level. We will need to replan a lot of stuffs if we do not get to print our wedding invitation cards in City Square.

Yeah! We saw T&T still operating in a very small corner in B1 level. We took close to an hour choosing the design and discussing about the information to be included in the wedding cards. We completed the basic design of the card at around 12 15pm and the designer MS told us to go back an hour later to view the layout. We went back at around 1 30pm and she was still busy working on it.

So, we decided to have our lunch at SDS cafe. Dear had Tom Yam Bee Hun and I had Mee Goreng.

We saw the design of our wedding invitation cards at about 3pm. We did the final amendment and changed the design several times. MS was patient with us and helping us as much as she can, nice designer. Finally, we comfirmed our wedding cards, paid RMB$300 for 200 cards. I wanted to print more to ensure that we have sufficient supply and keeping the excess for ourselves.

We have decided not to post the wedding card design for now until we send out our invitation cards. A sneak preview of it. : )
The next issue for us is to look for nice wedding invitation card envelope as T&T does not have any for us to purchase.

Selected Our Vow

Our helpful JP has sent us a few standard vows for references. Dear has decided to edit a bit of one of the vows. We were trying to memorize and recite it yesterday.

Bridal Photoshoot Layout Selection

Counting down to 118 days to our wedding, dear and I went down to YC today to view our editted bridal photos and the layout of our photo album.

Dear has drawn out her ideas for editting the photos and layout. Can anyone decipher what my dear is trying to say?

We have also selected the photos for our acrylic album cover, 3 in 1 potrait, table tops, poster and small album too.

After leaving YC, we took a short walk down to purchase Artease bubble tea as dear really want to try it for a long time.

We will not posting our bridal photos until our wedding to ensure that our guests will be the first to view them. We have also make arrangement with Captured Moments today to pass him the photos for our photo montage.

Wedding Preparation Course

Counting down to 119 days to our wedding, Dear and I spent almost the whole Saturday at Alife attending our wedding preparation course. It covered topics such as Family of Origin, Couplehood, Communication skills, Conflict Management, Sexuality and Fertility & Financial Planning. I felt that it is a very informative course for young couples like us trying to set up our family.

Dear and I met up at about 7 50am early morning and she had prepared Rich & Good rolls for breakfast. We reached Alife quite early at about 8 30 am and made our way to Shunfu market to buy a packet of coffee to ensure that we keep awake for the morning talk.




Soon, it's lunch time. We went back to Shunfu market, dear took noodles and I took chicken rice. We found Chocolat N Spice in the market and tried the famous muffins for the first time.




After the long day, we finally graduated from the course.



We took a walk down to Thomson Plaza, bypass ShuangXiLe and found a nice HK old-style coffee shop along the way.



This course led us to understand more about one another, discuss more personally issues and set a framework for basic family financial planning. I think we need to take some time to digest the knowledge we picked up today and put into practice.
