Ideal Salary

Yahoo Singapore posted an interesting article that Singaporean believe that $6K is the ideal monthly salary in Singapore given the cost of living in the nation-state based on a survey by Job Street. Any view on it?

The average Singapore monthly salary is $4998, much higher than what I expected though.

Our boy Aleric celebrated his first birthday at home last week.  

Parenthood

There were times when we would be angry with Aleric when he was disobedient and cried when we do not allow him to have his toys/phone. There were countless nights when we had to wake up in the middle of the night to feed and change his diapers. It requires a lot more effort to carry Aleric around even do simple grocery shopping at nearby supermarket. We almost could not even go to haircut together.

However, we always ended up missing him at work daily, scrolling through photos in our phones to see how cute our boy is. We love our boy despite all the tiredness and sacrifices. Aleric is 78cm tall at 11+ month old. He was 51cm during birth, 50% taller now.

The Family CNY 2014

 
The family has been busy preparing and celebrating CNY for the past few weeks. Mrs and I had 2 reunion dinner with both our parents on CNY eve. We managed to visit all our relatives during the first 2 days of CNY. On the 3rd day of CNY, dear and I drove to AMK market for breakfast before traveling to AMK hub NTUC to do some shopping. We had BK lunch before returning home. The family went for a walk at the Park Connector on the 4th day after so many days of feasting.

Aleric celebrated his first CNY in 2014. He would also have his baby cousin as playmate in 2015 CNY. Hope for good health and luck for the family in this new year.
